Week 5 Announcements

Sunday, September 10 2017

Info for week 5 is posted below. We took another large step forward this week as nearly everyone ran a season or personal best at one of our meets. On Tuesday, we raced Grayslake North in our first dual of the season. Times were fast and helped build our confidence for our Saturday invite. The FTTF Invite is held at Detweiller Park, which is the most historic course in Illinois. The girls placed 7th and the boys 6th in a field over 50 teams. Olivia Schmitt, Simone Lippmann, Brooke Stromsland, and Ethan Schommer all earned medals. The rising temperatures made earning a PR tough. However, many of our athletes displayed tremendous racing skills despite the final time not being their fastest. This week we will travel to Fox River Park on Tuesday and Channahon Park on Saturday.

A special thank you to the athletes and parents who helped with our Middle School meet. Mr. & Mrs. Dwyer, Mrs. Schmitt, Mr. Gillespie, Mrs. Menges, and Mr. Schommer volunteered to help us and we sincerely appreciate it. We are able to raise over $1500 for our team!
