Spring Break
Friday, March 24 2017Lakes Community High School will be off next week for Spring Break. While everyone is encouraged to have fun and enjoy their Spring Break, it is recommended that athletes have a plan for maintaining their fitness level. Below you will find plans for both Sprints and Distance. Please use these as a guide for staying shape. In addition, we will offer OPTIONAL workouts at Lakes on M, T, and W from 8 to 10am (most likely dismissing earlier). Anyone staying in the area and available is encouraged to attend. Please e-mail questions or concerns if you have them. Otherwise, stay motivated and keep your goals in mind over the following week.
- When we return from Spring Break, we will have our first Outdoor Track meet. ALL ATHLETES will participate on Tuesday, April 4th. Boys will compete at Grayslake North and Girls will compete at North Chicago. All Mon/Tues Dual meets are expected to begin around 4:30pm. These meets generally are over between 6 and 7pm. The events will stay in the usual order for outdoor meets and the time we finish usually depends on the number of athletes competing and the efficiency with which the meet is run. Any new athlete will receive their uniform/ warm up on Monday at practice.
