Girls @ Wheeling Info

Listed below is the information for the GIRLS meet at Wheeling on Saturday. The Bus will leave Lakes at 6:40am. The meet is expected to finish around 1pm. Please e-mail Coach Shepherd with any questions. The lineup for the meet is listed at the bottom of the page.

* NO Metal SPIKES are allowed. You may race in your racing spikes without the metal inserts. Rubber bottoms are recommended over plastic. Shoes with plastic bottoms tend to slide.

Meet Information

- Admission: $3 for all spectators

- There will be no seating in the field house. Spectators should view the meet in the balcony. Only coaches and athletes should be in the field house competition area.

- All field events will begin at 8:30 AM.

- Prelims in 55 Meter Hurdles and 55 Meter Dash start at 9:30 AM.

- All Final running events will start at 10:15 AM or 15 minutes following the completion of the prelims.

- Teams Entered: Dundee-Crown, Grant, Grayslake North, Lakes, Lake Zurich, Larkin, Libertyville, Round Lake, Stevenson, Warren, Wheeling, Zion Benton

- Medals will be given for the first six places in all events, including relays. Team awards will be

given to the top three schools.

- Concessions and t-shirts will be available. T-shirt cost: $15

High Jump: Starting Height TBD

Pole Vault : Starting Height TBD

Prelims: 9:30 AM

Girls 55 M Hurdles: 4 Heats, Heat Winners + 2 fastest times to finals

Girls 55 M Dash: 4 Heats, Heat Winners + 2 fastest times to finals

Finals: 15 Min after completion of Prelims: Approximately 10:15 AM

3200 M Relay: 1 Heat Each runner completes 5 and 1/3 laps, count own laps

4 Lap Relay: 3 Heats 1st runner stays in lane

3200 M Run: 1 Heat Each runner completes 21 and 1/3 laps, count own laps

55 M Hurdles: 1 Heat

55 M Dash: 1 Heat

800 M Run: 2 Heats Each runner completes 5 and 1/3 laps, count own laps

1500 M Medley: 3 Heats (300-150-450-600), 2 turn stagger

400 M Dash: 6 Heats Each runner completes 2 and 2/3 laps, 1 turn stagger

1600 M Run: 2 Heats Each runner completes 10 and 2/3 laps, count own laps

200 M Dash: 6 Heats Each runner completes 1 and 1/3 laps, stay in lane

1600 M Relay: 3 Heats Each runner completes 2 and 2/3 laps, 1 turn stagger
