Detweiller at Dark

On Friday, July 25th, Kortney Schardt competed on the state course, finishing 9th in the HS Girls division. Schardt started out with the leaders, running a first mile of 5:36. The competition was stiff, with perennial powerhouse Carmel, IN in the mix. As the race heated up, Schardt battled her way to a top 10 finish in 17:50. While Detweiller at Dark is a fun Summer race, it is also an opportunity for the state's best to showcase their talent. After mixing it up with other top talent in the midwest, Schardt is clearly ready to get this XC season going; only 3 weeks away!
