MEET SCHEDULE:

8:00 AM – Course Open, Packet pick up

9:00 AM – Coaches Meeting

10:00 AM – Varsity Girls 3.0 miles

11:00 AM – Varsity Boys 3.0 miles

SCORING: Timing and scoring will be done by Alan Fielder, Tri-3 Sports timing.  Team packets will be available at the finish line.

 

COURSE: Course map is enclosed.  The course is double lined and available for pre-viewing. The doubled lined course is a guideline for the runners, the flags on race day will be the official markers of the course.  The course is all grass with flat terrain.

RULES: Race will be done in accordance with all IHSA rules and guidelines.

STARTING LINE: The box system of starting will be used with team boxes predetermined by a drawing held during the week of the race. Box assignments will be given the morning of the sectional. 

FINISH: A chute will be used in compliance with IHSA cross country running rules.  In accordance with IHSA rules, the finish line is the mouth of the chute. There will be water available at the finish line.

RESULTS: Final results will be available at the end of the races.  A typed copy will be available to each school at the end of the awards presentation and the results will also be available on www.tri-3timing.com.

AWARDS: IHSA Sectional Team Champion plaques will be awarded to the lowest scoring teams in both Varsity races. Individual medals will be awarded to the first 10 runners, overall, in the two races.

ADVANCEMENT: The first five (5) placing teams and the first seven (7) runners who are not members of the first five (5) placing teams in each Sectional will advance to the State Final meet. In addition, in the event the 8th, 9th or 10th place overall individual finisher in the sectional is not on a qualifying team, such 8th, 9th or 10th place overall finisher in the individual race shall advance from the sectional to the state final meet.

ATHLETIC TRAINER: Isaih Solis will be the head trainer on-site from Athletico.  

PARKING: PLEASE INFORM PARENTS AND SPECTATORS

Parking will be $5.00 per vehicle in the High School Lot as well as the Belvidere South Middle School and Meehan School Lots. See attached map for details. East Avenue will be closed from 6th Ave. until Glenwood on Saturday, Nov. 2nd. If spectator’s plan to park at the High School please approach via US Highway 20.

RESTROOMS: Restrooms will be available through the exterior locker room doors of the school.  

APPAREL: Apparel will be available from Lightning Graphics.

CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available from area food trucks. 

PETS: PLEASE INFORM PARENTS AND SPECTATORS

No pets are allowed on District 100 school grounds, only service animals are allowed.
